HOT NEWS! Campbell still out.... Perlman in?
Paul Giamatti mentions that Ron 'Hellboy' Perlman is interested in being involved.
AICN published exciting Bubba Nosferatu news on its web site earlier on today. Paul Giamatti has long been linked to the Bubba Nosferatu project and has been very vocal on wanting to have Bruce Campbell back reprising his role as Elvis/Sebastian. Giamatti is solidly in place to play Col. Tom Parker in Nosferatu. However over the last 12 months it has become fairly clear that Bruce doesn't intend to be involved and this has surely threatened to derail the making of the movie. Suggestions of alternative people have been doing the rounds for some time now with no-one obviously matching the role. Today Paul Giamatti spoke with Aint It Cool News and talked to quite an extent about Bubba Nosferatu and his desire to get the movie made. During this he mentioned that Hollywood actor Ron Perlman was interested in taking over the Elvis role. Few actors share the same fan appeal as Bruce Campbell, but Ron Perlman has a huge following of the same sort of crowd following his excellent past performances (eg Hellboy). Perlman is an excellent actor who can convincingly pull off many varied roles. He may require some makeup (something he is no stranger to based on previous roles) to sell himself as Elvis, but he could have enough screen presence to take over from Bruce Campbell. There is plenty more info on what Paul Giamatti has been saying over at AICN (link below). Stay tuned for more information! Please get in touch using the comments link below and let us what yopu think about having Ron Perlman in the Elvis role.

I think Pearlman will do a great job, although that role and the movie itself i'm talking about. BHT would not have been the movie it id today and always will be without the man, BC.
Perlman would make a "okay" Elvis, but Bruce Campbell will be hard to follow.
